SABATTUS – Albert N. Pelletier, 72, of Lara Lane, died Saturday morning, Sept. 16 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, on March 20, 1934, the son of Jean and Emelda (Picard) Pelletier. He grew up and attended schools in New Brunswick prior to moving to this area.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Bernadette (Poisonnier), and he later married Sharon (Beal) on Dec. 24, 1987. She died Sept. 10, 2003.
He worked as an accountant for his brother, Gerard, and later worked for more than 30 years as a ship computer designer at Bath Iron Works.
Al enjoyed attending his daughter’s sporting events. His greatest love was his daughter and family and also his cats.
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed harness racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Pelletier of Sabattus; his son, Robert Pelletier and his wife, Jackie, of Poland; two stepsons, Timothy Rucker and his wife, Vickie, of Winthrop, and Kenneth Rucker and his wife, Cindy, of Sabattus; four grandchildren, Robbie Pelletier and Billy Joe, Wayne and Shelby Rucker; four great-grandchildren, Kaleb Rucker and Mackenzie, Zachary and Isabella Pelletier; his brothers, Ernest “Roland” and his wife, Pauline, of Sabattus, and Gerard and his wife, Florence, of Lewiston; his sisters, Geraldine Beaulieu of Lewiston, Albertine Lavoie of Manchester, Conn., Dora Bosse and her husband, Fernand, of Madawaska, Angeline Bosse and her husband, Rene, of Lewiston, Noella Ouellette of Lewiston, Sr. Irene Pelletier F.M.A. of Edmundston, NB, and Joan Couturier and her husband, Arsene, of Meriden, Conn.; and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Benoit Pelletier.
