WEST PARIS – Conrad J. Parent, 80, of Newry, died Sept. 12.

He was born in Van Buren, Maine, on June 13, 1926, the son of Paul and Dianna (St. Jean) Parent.

Conrad served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for many years in maintenance for Hilton Hotels.

He is survived by a brother, Raymond Parent of California.
