GREENE – The families of Zulmarie Lopez-Diaz and Richard Gregory Allison are pleased to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

Miss Lopez-Diaz is the daughter of Luis Lopez-Vallecillo and Yolanda Diaz-Morales of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She graduated cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, with a focus in Spanish. She is currently employed as a teacher at Alta Vista Elementary School in Sarasota, Fla.

Mr. Allison is the son of Robert W. and Susan G. Allison of Greene. He is a graduate of Lewiston High School and Curry College in Milton, Mass., obtaining a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is currently employed as a customer service clerk with the Department of Motor Vehicles at the Sarasota County Tax Collector’s Office in Sarasota, Fla.

A Dec. 17 wedding is planned at San Jorge Church in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
