WORCESTER, Mass. – Richard Burton Noyes, 65, died peacefully at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, after battling a long illness, on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
Richard, known as Richie, was born in North Easton, Mass., on June 11, 1941, a son of Burton and Lilly Noyes. He was raised and attended schools within North Easton and Boston.
Richard was a creative, inventive and resourceful man, who enjoyed antiquing, the arts, gardening and photography. He also loved to travel and was passionate about the ocean. He will be remembered for being a great dreamer of dreams.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Noyes and her husband, Christopher Ouellette, of Gardiner; his son, Matthew Noyes of Rumford; his granddaughter, Emma Noyes; and his siblings, Joanie Ryan and her husband, Robert, of Stratham, N.H., Beverly Williams and her husband, Shep, of South Dennis, Mass., and Frederick Noyes and his wife, Cilla, of Trenton, Maine.
He was predeceased by his parents, Burton and Lilly Noyes.
