SABATTUS – The wedding of Andrea B. Scott and John V. DeRienzo was held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the Galilee Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Hasbroock officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. DeRienzo is the daughter of Andrew and Judy Scott of Sabattus. Mr. DeRienzo is the son of Kenneth and Linda DeRienzo of Standish.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown, which was simple but elegant. She carried a bouquet of pink lilies. The bride made all the bouquets.

Theresa Coron was maid of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Chelsea Kauffman, great friend of the bride, and Sandy Gummoe, sister-in-law of the bride. Maria D’Auria, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Shawn Gummoe, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, attended as best man, and ushers were Rick Coron, brother-in-law of the bride and Joseph DeRienzo, brother of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to New Hampshire. They are residing in Sabattus.

The bride is a graduate of Oak Hill High School and is a banking specialist at TD Banknorth.

The bridegroom is a graduate of GPCS and is assistant bakery manager at Shaw’s Supermarket.
