Recently our family was informed about the tragedy that took place at the Black Bear Bed and Breakfast.

Selby Bullard was a good friend of ours here in Sonoma County, Calif. We first met Selby at our children’s preschool when her husband was killed in a car accident. When she told us that she was moving to Maine to help her mother run a bed and breakfast inn, we were excited that she was going to start new in the state of Maine.

Unfortunately, that was never to be.

We can only pray that her children, who are now orphaned, are being taken care of and will receive the love and support that will somehow get them through this time.
