NEW GLOUCESTER – Sept. 13, Jane L. Seavey, definition of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, after a long illness.
She was born July 23, 1940, in Portland and grew up in Farmington, the daughter of Herman and Julia Lidstone (Mosher). She attended Boston University for two years and completed her training at Central Maine Medical Center to become a registered medical technologist.
In December 1961, she married Donald H. Seavey and together they raised their two children, Joline and Todd while sharing their love for the outdoors, hiking, biking, jogging and skiing.
In 1996, she retired after 35 years from CMMC, allowing her to pursue her passion for health and fitness, both personally and professionally. In 1998, she began her passionate career as a Mary Kay consultant, allowing her to enjoy wonderful relationships with her customers and at the same time, making new friends.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Joline of New Portland; son, Todd and his wife, Emily, of North Yarmouth; and five grandchildren, Adam, Heather, Britney, Courtney and Charlie, whom she loved deeply.
