AUGUSTA – Lynne Marie Giles, 53, a resident of Hewitt Road, Somerville, died Saturday, Sept. 16, at an Augusta hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Schenectady, N.Y., April 20, 1953, the daughter of Thomas and Joyce Jacobs Andrews.

She graduated from Dixfield High School with the class of 1971, and was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant for many years. She enjoyed helping others in many different ways, and had a great love for animals.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Giles; her parents; a special maternal grandfather, Harry Francis; two stepbrothers, Michael and Peter Andrews.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Ruth Francis; her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Margaret Andrews.
