LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday for Roger Vachon at Holy Cross Church after prayers at Pinette Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Greenleaf celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. During Mass readings were done by Roger’s granddaughter, Danielle Vachon, and the intercessions were read by Roger’s daughter-in-law, Debra Vachon. Words of Remembrance were expressed by Roger’s son, Robert, at the conclusion of Mass. The U.S. Marine Corps Honor detail played “Taps” and presented our country’s flag to Roger’s wife, Priscilla, in honor of her husband’s service to his country. The pallbearers were Christopher Vachon, William and Douglas McLaughlin, Michael Couture, Gerry Delisle, and Barry Kelly. After the committal, a reception of fellowship was held at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. Arrangements by the family-owned Pinette Funeral Chapel.
