There are a couple of wonderful ads running on television depicting Chandler Woodcock walking backward. How appropriate: Woodcock’s social and political philosophy is only seen in the rear view mirror.

We’ve made some real strides in the past four years under Gov. John Baldacci’s leadership, and he will give us another four.

I know I won’t vote for Mr.Woodcock. Mr. Woodcock knows I won’t vote for him. Now other people know I won’t vote for him. All I ask is a commitment that other people won’t vote for him either.

Just remember, the world is not flat after all.
