Class celebrates 50 years

AUBURN – The Edward Little High School Class of 1956 had a busy weekend recently, celebrating their graduation 50 years ago.

On Friday a golf tournament was held at Prospect Hill Golf Course and on Saturday there was a full day of activities, starting with a tour of the original Edward Little High School, located on Academy Street. Auburn City Manager Patricia Finnigan led the tour, which showed the varied uses the former high school building is supporting.

Following the tour many of the class members gathered at Taber’s Roadside Stand for a lunch under the pines and several hours of visiting and looking over memorabilia. That evening, the 50th reunion banquet was held at the Martindale Country Club.

The Reunion 50 Committee was chaired by Jack Linnell and included Jeannine Carrier O’Malley, Anne Bouchles Deletesky, Tom Ray, Joanna Bishop Smith, Betty Decoster Goulet, Bob Nadeau and Conrad Grenier.
