I am one of numerous people who now own a flex-car that uses either gasoline or E85 ethanol blend.

The state of Maine should be pushing flex-cars and trucks for its government contracts, and make grants available for businesses to install equipment to sell E85.

I hope someone in Maine will step up and make this alternative fuel available. This country needs to reduce its dependence on foreign oil.

Ethanol also burns cleaner and degrades quickly in water, thereby posing much less risk to the environment than an oil or gasoline spill.
