LEWISTON – Robert A. Bernier, 82, of Greene, died Saturday evening, Sept. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston on July 4, 1924, the son of Adelard and Fedora Ouellette Bernier.

He was educated in local schools and served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.

He was married in 1947, to Murielle Theresa Bolduc.

He was self-employed as a carpenter and had worked for Jos. Blais Construction.

He was a member of Holy Cross Parish and enjoyed sports.

He is survived by his wife, Murielle, of Greene; a daughter, Claire Theriault and husband, Ronald, of Greene; three grandsons, Ronald Jr., Ryan and Jamie Theriault and his fiancée, Darcy Melville; a great-granddaughter, Riley; two sisters, Muriel Kramarz of Lewiston and Theresa Veilleux and husband, Normand, of Augusta.

He was predeceased by a brother, Normand Bernier.
