AUBURN – Fernande M. Giguere, 72, of Constellation Drive in Auburn, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Madawaska Dec. 17, 1933, a daughter of Hubald and Yvonne (Pelletier) Guimond. She was educated in Madawaska schools, but has been a resident of the Lewiston-Auburn community for many years.

On Aug. 12, 1972, she married Fernande A. Giguere, who passed away Jan. 20, 1994. She worked for many years at Clover Manor until her retirement.

Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed visiting and the get-togethers with her sisters and brothers. She had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed.

She leaves five daughters, Mrs. Warren (Helen) Horne, Mrs. Sidney (Gloria) Capo of Florida, Mrs. Marc (Debora) Belanger of Sabattus, Mrs. Lucien (Lena) Paradis of East Poland and Gail Coombs of Auburn; five sons, Harold Whiting of Auburn, Gary Whiting and Raymond Whiting, both of New Gloucester, Mark Whiting of Livermore Falls and Michael Whiting of Sabattus; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Bertrande Hodgkin, Marie Ange Mathon, Francis Adam, Florence Roy and Lorraine Rivard; and two brothers, Bertrand Guimond and Roger Guimond.
