LEWISTON – Faith Doherty tied up the game at 25:03 of the second half as Lewiston and Cony played to a 2-2 tie.
Emily Cloutier converted a pass from Sasha Roy, and Julia Bergeron added an unassisted goal to put the Blue Devils up 2-1 at intermission.
Despite Lewiston’s domination of the second half, Doherty managed to slip one past goaltender Katie Cobb to knot up the contest.
Kylie Cheever made 16 saves for the Rams, while Cobb prevented 11 for Cony.
Mt. Blue 3, Hampden 2
FARMINGTON – Elisabeth Stancioff took a cross from the right side and headed it into the net to give Mt. Blue a 3-2 victory over Hampden.
Ava Amador and Bethany Charles also tallied for the Cougars (5-3-2).
Mt. Blue held a 3-0 advantage at the half, but nearly saw it slip away. The Broncos (5-5) stepped up in the second frame with goals by Lauren Jadallah and Kathleen Macone. Caitlin Scott made six saves for the Cougars.
Morse 3, Oxford Hills 2
BATH – Kate Ross scored the eventual game-winner with 21 minutes to go in regulation as Morse nipped Oxford Hills 3-2.
The Vikings (5-5) nearly upset Morse in a close contest. Whitney Linindoll tallied a goal and an assist for Oxford Hills.
The Shipbuilders (10-0) received fine offensive support from Tori Haggett, who scored a pair of first-half goals to give Morse a 2-1 halftime lead.
In the second half, Ross gave Morse a two-goal advantage before Terry Bunce cut the deficit for Oxford Hills, but the Vikings could not score the equalizer.
Georges Valley 2, Mt. Abram 0
SALEM – Alley Watts and Danielle Frye each netted unasissted goals Thursday to give Georges Valley to a 2-0 victory over Mt. Abram.
Ashley Geel made five saves to record the shutout. The unbeaten Buccaneers (9-0-1) put one goal on the board in the first half, then added an insurance goal in the second frame. Kenni Norton had six saves for the Roadrunners (5-1-4).
Leavitt 6, Gardiner 0
GARDINER – Ashley Naylor spun a hat trick as Leavitt buzzed Gardiner 6-0.
The Hornets (2-8) jumped out to a 3-0 haftime lead, and never looked back. Natasha Barney and Lauren Metayer sandwiched second-half goals around one from Naylor.
Goalies Kayla Marks and Michelle Kozma combined for 19 saves in net for the Tigers (0-10), while Kat Rothe earned the shutout with five saves for Leavitt.
Winthop 1, Wiscasset 1
WINTHROP – The Wiscasset and Winthrop girls’ soccer squads played to a 1-1 tie.
Casey Cummings scored for the Ramblers (4-4-2) in the first half, while Amanda Garwood converted a pass from Jen Douglas to put the Redskins (5-2-2) on the board.
Christine Dunn made 15 saves for Winthrop, while Megan Foye turned aside 15 shots between for Wiscasset. As evidence of just how evenly-matched these teams were, both fired 25 shots on goal.
