RUMFORD – A memorial Mass for Robert P. Doiron was celebrated Thursday, Sept. 28, at St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Laurent LaPlante was the celebrant. The altar server was George Gionet, and Mark Belanger was the organist. Special music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “On Eagles Wings,” “Ave Maria,” “Panis Angelicus” and “Onward Christian Soldiers.” Readings were done by his son-in-law James Mamoulides. The eulogy was given by his daughter Barbara Mamoulides and granddaughter Kathryn “Katie” Doiron. A reception followed in the parish hall. Private interment will be in Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
