Auburn – Florence L. Jennings, 86, a resident of Fish Street, Leeds, died Friday, Sept. 29, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, Stetson Road, after a three -day stay.
She was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Leeds, the daughter of Henry and Rosemarie Dorr Morris. She was one of seven children. She graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner.
On Feb. 15, 1938, in Leeds, she married Carl W. Jennings. He died Feb. 4, 1976.
She was a member of the Leeds Community Church and R.C.A.M. She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a very avid cook.
She is survived by five sons, Rodney, and his wife, Linda, of Leeds, Randall, and his wife, Helen Mary, of Litchfield, Ryan, and his wife, Kathy, of Bowdoinham, Rick, and his wife, Karen, of Leeds and Gregory, and his wife, Valerie, of Lisbon Falls; a brother, Nathan “Bill” Morris, and his wife, Alberta, of Turner; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl; a son, Gerald; two sisters, Eleanor and Alice; three brothers, Carlton, Nelson and Clayton Morris; and a grandson, Carl.
