BERLIN, N.H. – Alice Marie Sanschagrin, 91, died Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. Vincent dePaul Healthcare Center, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in St. Hermenegilde, PQ, Canada, on Oct. 3, 1914, the daughter of the late Theodore and Marie Anna (Dube) Bergeron. Her family moved to Berlin, N.H., when she was 4 years old, and she attended local schools.

She was married to Albert P. Sanschagrin.

She was a member of L’Ange Guardian Parish, now known as St. Anne Church of the Good Shepherd, and was involved with the Ladies of St. Anne.

She was a loving housewife who enjoyed cooking and time spent with her family. She was an avid card player and, more recently, enjoyed crafting.

She is survived by four children, H. Leo Sanschagrin and his wife, Anita, of Saco, Doris MacDonald and her husband, Charles, of Berlin, N.H., George Sanschagrin and his wife, Lise, of Berlin, and Roger Sanschagrin and his wife, Louise, of Milan; a brother, Lucien Bergeron and his fiancée, Lucille Lavoie, of Berlin; a sister, Albina Fecteau, also of Berlin; grandchildren, Guy, Nicole, Danielle, Scott, Cynthia, Liane and Andrea; great-grandchildren, Alec, Jack, Annika and Trevor, of whom she was so very proud.

She was predeceased by her loving husband on Aug. 22, 1987; two brothers, Antoine and Henry Bergeron; and sister, Antoinette.
