LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) – A woman who was born in New York and gave birth to her daughter on her birthday now has granddaughters who were born on her birthday.
Rose Caracciolo was born in Queens on Sept. 27, 1957.
She gave birth to her daughter, Andria Hundley, in Westminster, Calif., on Sept. 27, 1978.
Hundley gave birth to twin daughters in Arizona on Sept. 27, 2006, which was Wednesday.
The new girls, Kaitlin Marie and Malia Rose Zeh, had been due Oct. 20.
“Everybody kept saying, ‘Oh, wouldn’t that be cool if you had them on your birthday?”‘ Hundley said. “And it just happened. And now that I think about it, wow, it’s a miracle.”
But Caracciolo wasn’t there for her granddaughters’ birth. She was on her way to Mexico – to celebrate her birthday.
