SOUTH PARIS – Florian P. Corriveau, 71, formerly of Gilead, died Sunday evening at Market Square Health Care Center.

He was born in St. Albert, Canada, on Aug. 17, 1935, the son of Darie and Octavie Corriveau.

He attended school in Gilead, and worked on the family farm. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snow Church in Bethel. He enjoyed raising animals, his rabbits, chickens and his dog, Beauty. He also enjoyed gardening.

Due to his health he lived in homes in Portland and Windham before entering Market Square Health Care, where he loved the staff.

Survivors include four brothers, Yvon of Gilead, Denis of Canton, Lauriat of Greenwood and Fernand of Gilead; two sisters, Jeannette Marr of Rumford and Muriel Couillard of St. Marcel, Quebec; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by six brothers, Leo, Jean-Paul, Yves, Yvenho, Rosaire and Roger; and two sisters, Maryann Dupont and Louisette Caron.
