LEWISTON – James E. Bryant, 72, of West Minot died Wednesday, Oct. 4, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, Feb. 17, 1934, the son of Basil G. and Louise Keene Bryant. He attended school in Hartford and Hebron. He was a self-employed contractor and truck driver, owning Bryant Inc. He was the road commissioner for the town of Minot for many years and for the town of Hebron for an additional year.
On Nov. 29, 1958, he married his true love, Bessie Lawrence Parker. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having them near. He enjoyed camping and his home in Davenport, Fla., during the winter months. He will be most remembered by his wife and children for his great capacity of loving, giving and caring. We will miss you until we see you again.
Survivors include his wife of West Minot; children, Robert Bryant, and partner, Daryel Duhaime, of Hebron, Sandy and James Child and their children, Lauren and Tommy, of West Minot, Judy and Allen Theriault and their children, Owen, Kurt, Max and Marsha, of West Minot, Rodney and Heide Bryant and their children, Jason, Kevin and Adam, of Hebron, Gard and Cindy Parker and their children, Tina and Timmy of Vidalia, Ga., Stanley and Hope Parker and their children, Stanley and Sherry of Oxford, N.J., Errol and Carol Parker and their children, Scott, Cindy and Steven of Oxford, Kathy and Alan Ingano and family of Wells, Edith and Tom Cuddeback and family of Millerton, N.Y., Margery Wheaton and family of Canaan, Conn. and Linda and William Knudson and family of Canaan, Conn.; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly and Lynny Cantin of Mexico and Lola and Fritz Gurshick of Turner; a brother, Basil Bryant of Hebron; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, James Bryant II.
