PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phyllis Irene Bickford Dow, 90, of Phoenix, Ariz., died on Friday, Sept. 29.

She was born in Auburn on Feb. 28, 1916, the daughter of Everett A. and Ada M. Bickford. She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1934, and Bates College, Class of 1938. She went on to marry Harold E. Dow in September 1938, and she became a housewife, loving, caring for and raising their son and three daughters.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Dow of Phoenix; three daughters, Carolyn Dow of Arlington Heights, Ill., Marilyn Dow of Sudbury, Mass. and Barbara White, and husband, William, of Dennis, Mass.; three grandchildren, Nora Encinas, Gregory White and Elizabeth White; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years; and her three sisters, Catherine, Beatrice and Emma, all of Auburn.
