SABATTUS – A family dinner party was held on Sept. 1 for Reginald and Pauline Fortin of Sabattus, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Their children hosted the party at Anjon’s in Scarborough, following a Mass attended by the whole family. Attending the party was Gloria Fortin, who was maid of honor at the wedding.

Mr. Fortin and the former Pauline Levasseur were married on Sept. 1, 1956, at Saints Peter and Paul Church. They have four children, Catherine (Roger) Chaisson, Anne (Brian) Horne, Rachel (Gary) Sanville and Paul Fortin. They also have nine grandchildren, Marc, Samuel, Graham, Laura, Olivia, Gary Patrick, Brianna, Aimee and Reginald James.

Mr. Fortin is a retired electrical engineer, who was employed at Harriman Architects for 41 years.

Mrs. Fortin was a teacher at St. Dominic Regional High School for 15 years and later worked as a medical transcriptionist.

An open house was held on Sept. 3 at the Fortin residence in Sabattus for family and friends.
