WOODSTOCK – Steve Michaud, Maine Hospital Association chairman, will be the speaker at the Tuesday, Oct. 10, meeting of the Oxford County Republican Committee at Franklin Grange.
Michaud will address challenges faced by Maine’s hospitals. The meeting will begin with a 5:30 p.m. social hour followed by a 6:30 p.m. Grange supper and a brief business meeting and the presentation.
There will also be reports on campaigns and updates on the party headquarters in South Paris and Rumford. All area Republicans and those interested in helping Oxford County candidates with their campaigns are welcome.
The next meeting will focus on the 2006 election results and will be held on Nov. 14 at the Norway Congregational Church.
Circle to meet
RUMFORD – The St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the St. Athanasius and St. John’s Parish Center.
Canned or dry goods can be donated for the group’s second annual Thanksgiving food basket raffle. The lunch committee is comprised of Dot Benedix, chairwoman, Janet Blouin, Sandra Martin, Margaret Elliott, Helen Chuzas and Sylvina Mattar.
Class luncheon
MEXICO – The Stephens High School Class of 1945 will hold a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Covered Wagon. Those who plan to attend are asked to call Connie at 364-8785.
