LEWISTON – Eva Greenwood, 94, a resident of Gardiner Road, Wales, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, at d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident since Aug. 25.

She was born March 28, 1912, in Wales, the daughter of Walter and Jennie Frost Greenwood. She attended schools in Wales and Lewiston. She worked at New England Telephone Co. in Lewiston for 48 years, retiring in 1977, as a supervisor.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing, she also enjoyed watching her birds. She loved her cocker spaniel, T.J. Greenwood. She was a member of Pioneers of Telecom and a life-time member of the Litchfield Sportsman Club. In 1968, she caught a togue that weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. in Emden Pond. Her great-nephew, Rodney Bubier has been taking care of her for many years.

She is survived by three nephews, Walter Bubier, and his wife, Frances, Wallace Bubier and Horton Austin, and his wife, Ruby; three nieces, Virginia Cram, and her husband, Bradford, Janice Mace, and her husband, Alan and Shirley Brownell; a great-nephew, Rodney Bubier, and his wife, Pat; also many other great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was predeceased by her brother, Forrest Greenwood; and five sisters, Jessie Smith, Lottie Austin, Louise Hinkley, Hazel Hinkley and Annie Bubier.
