NEW GLOUCESTER – New Gloucester will hold its sixth annual Community Fair, connecting people to the community, at the New Gloucester Fairgrounds, Bald Hill Road, Friday and Saturday. Oct. 20 and 21.

Friday at 7 p.m. there will be a parade of lights from Upper Village Street Garage to the fairgrounds, followed by a pig roast, bingo and live music under the tent.

Saturday there will be demonstrations and entertainment, ending with a fireworks display. The RE/MAX Balloon will give tethered rides to help raise money for Lungs for George.

Lungs for George is a collaboration of a community to help George Carmen, a local firefighter, to raise $300,000 for new lungs. He has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and needs a double lung transplant. For more information about Lungs for George, visit www.newgloucester.com.
