FARMINGTON – The Ending Hunger Committee’s fourth annual Basket Bingo event is coming up, and organizers are hoping for cash and food donations before then.

So far this year, the group has raised more than $10,000, or more than 64,000 pounds of food.

The committee, which raises money to help area food banks, is hoping for cash to purchase bingo baskets that cost between $29 and $220 apiece, merchandise to fill the baskets with, and gift certificates.

Members also are hoping for donations of sandwiches, chips, drinks, paper goods, and desserts, or money to purchase them.

The event takes place Nov. 5 at the Farmington Elks Lodge.
