KITTERY – Julia Richardson led a trio of players to register goals as St. Dom’s powered its way to an undefeated field hockey season with a 3-0 victory over Traip Wednesday.
Katie Landry and Chelsea St. Onge-May also tallied for the Saints (13-0) to complete the scoring. Austyn Carolin needed only one save to preserve the shutout.
Sophia Sullivan turned aside an impressive 32 shots in net for Traip (2-11), doing the best she could against such a powerhouse offense.
St. Dom’s defense stepped up on several occasions to make the 2006 campaign one for the record books.
Winthrop 7, Georges Valley 0
WINTHROP – Brittany Gaudet registered a hat trick and added two assists to lead Winthrop to a 7-0 rout over Georges Valley in MVC field hockey action Wednesday.
Jessica Martin chipped in for the Ramblers (9-4-1) with two goals, while single tallies by Meaghan McCarthy and Kenzie Hill completed the scoring. Sarah Giampetro and Emily Vickerson combined for six saves in net to record the shutout.
Sam Buchanan might have set a new record for saves in net for the Buccaneers (0-14), turning aside 43 shots.
Livermore Falls 5, Jay 1
JAY- Rachel Ventrella scored four goals and assisted on another as Livermore Falls downed Jay 5-1 Wednesday afternoon.
Whitney McDaniel added the other Andies’ (13-1) goal, and teammate Chelsea Bilodeau added two assists. Jay’s (7-6-1) lone tally was scored by Katie Hall.
Lisbon 2, Mountain Valley 0
LISBON – Barbara Martin and Katie Fitzgerald each tallied a goal to give Lisbon a 2-0 victory over Mountain Valley in a regular-season finale for both squads.
Amanda Stevens pitched in for the Greyhounds (9-5) with an assist. Rachel Beal made five saves in net to record the shutout.
Kim Clark turned aside eight shots in net for the Falcons (4-8-2).
Hebron 1, New Hampton 0
HEBRON – Maria Kapernekas collected a cross from Kelly Bowler and fired it into the net just six minutes into the game to give Hebron a 1-0 victory over New Hampton in prep school field hockey action Wednesday.
Hebron (6-1) received strong play on the forward line from Jasmine Webber and Kailey Bubier. Alysia Goldman made five saves in net to preserve the shutout.
OOB 3, Poland 2
POLAND – Courtney Rague scored the second of her two goals with 4:32 remaining in overtime to lift Old Orchard Beach to a 3-2 victory over Poland in a regular-season girls’ soccer finale Wednesday. Janey Dyer also tallied for the Seagulls to complete the scoring. Kristi Geaumont made six saves in net to record the win.
The Knights (1-12-1) received goals from Donna Roberts and Kit Levine. Dezaray DeBurra handled netkeeping duties, turning aside seven shots.

Lisbon 0, Wiscasset 0
WISCASSET – The Lisbon and Wiscasset girls’ soccer squads battled up and down the field and drew to a 0-0 tie in a MVC matchup Wednesday.
Sam Purcell made three saves in net for the Greyhounds (6-4-3), while Megan Foye turned aside five shots between the posts for the Redskins (8-2-3).
Georges Valley 5, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH – Rachel Sprague and Desiree Smith scored in the first half to send unbeaten Georges Valley to a 5-0 victory over Monmouth.
Alley Watts added a pair of second-half goals for the Buccaneers (12-0-1). Alyssa Morin made eight saves for Monmouth (8-4-1).
Mountain Valley 5, Carrabec 1
RUMFORD – Kristen Blais scored a hat trick to propel Mountain Valley to a 5-1 victory over Carrabec in MVC girls’ soccer action.
Jesse Sirois and Sarah Radmore also tallied for the Falcons (4-8-1) to complete the scoring. Karri McPhearson made 16 saves in net to notch the win.
The Cobras’ (1-12-0) lone goal was scored by Courtney Waugh, while Ashley Zikorus turned aside 17 shots in net.
Oak Hill 2, Belfast 0
WALES – Becca Roberts and Maggie O’Connell each scored a goal as Oak Hill defeated Belfast 2-0 Wednesday afternoon.
Sarah Beaulieu added an assist for the Raiders (5-8-1). Cortney Seguin had eight saves in net for Oak Hill.
Dirigo 9, Madison 1
MADISON – Melissa Harvey and Katie Hutchinson scored three goals apiece to power Dirigo to an easy 9-1 victory over Madison.
Tia Dakin, Jasmine Jacques and Jamine Brooks also scored for the Cougars (10-1-2).
Dirigo led 7-0 at halftime.
Jessica Hayden scored Madison’s lone goal. Dirigo goalies Lanette Bryant and Alyson Gill combined for seven saves.
G-NG 1, Fryeburg 0
GRAY – Kelsie Taylor collected a cross from Jen Farynaz and fired into the cage just 20 minutes into the second half to lift Gray-New Gloucester to a 1-0 victory over Fryeburg in a late-season WMC matchup.
Jenaka Sawall made eight saves in net to preserve the shutout. The Patriots (1-12) outshot the Indians (4-9) 22-11, but only needed one to be accurate on this day.
Boys’ soccer
Oak Hill 5, Belfast 2
BELFAST – John Perron netted a hat trick to propel Oak Hill to a 5-2 victory over Belfast in a regular-season boys’ soccer finale Wednesday.
Nate McDonald and Ethan Guerrette also tallied for the Raiders (4-9-1) to complete the scoring. Cory Banek made 11 saves in net to notch the win.
Jack Davis tallied both goals for winless Belfast (0-14), while Russell Varney turned aside 12 shots in between the posts.
Livermore Falls 3, Wiscasset 1
WISCASSET – Livermore Falls scored three times in the first half en route to a 3-1 triumph over Wiscasset.
Zach Keene netted a pair of goals for the Andies (7-5-2), while Kyle Whittemore’s single tally completed the scoring. Marcus Ryder made 10 saves in net to record the win.
Matt McRae scored the lone goal for Wiscasset, while Zach Hartman turned aside nine shots in net.
This was the best overall record for Livermore Falls in school history.
