PARIS – A Denmark woman accused of bailing her son out of jail under a false name last September has been indicted and jailed awaiting a court date on two felony charges.

Patricia A. Gullikson, 37, of 29 Harnden Road, Denmark, is being held at the Oxford County Jail on a Class B felony charge of aggravated forgery and a Class C felony charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution.

She was taken into custody by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of operating with a suspended license, and later transferred to the Oxford County Jail. She is being held on $10,000 cash or $50,000 worth of real estate.

Her son Ronald, 19, also has warrants out for his arrest, said Sgt. Rickie Jack of the Oxford Police Department.

On Sept. 17, 2005, Ronald was arrested at the Oxford County Fair on charges of possession of alcohol by a minor, failure to submit to arrest, assault on an officer and criminal trespass. He gave Jack the name Scott Carter.

Having no other way to identify him, he was booked at the jail under the false name and bailed by his mother, who also gave a false name, Jack said.

According to court records, Ronald’s real name was later determined, and he had existing warrants out for his arrest, including one for possession of drugs. Additional warrants were put out under the new charges, Jack said, and warrants for Patricia were also issued on the forgery charges.

Patricia, who lived in Norway at the time, was summoned to 11th District Court in Paris, and the case was moved to Oxford County Superior Court. She was indicted on the charges at the end of December.

Gullickson remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon, jail officials said, and she will likely not have a court date for a couple of weeks.
