LEWISTON – Christopher Michael Gendron, 32, of Lisbon, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Central Maine Medical Center after a brave battle with cancer.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1973, the son of Burt and Leigh (Kendall) Gendron. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1992. He worked for his father and various other jobs. He was a great handyman, especially for his grandparents. He married Amy Piepkorn on Aug. 28, 1999.

Chris’ great loves were his family, especially his son, Dalton. His other loves were playing golf, playing pool and listening to music, especially the “Grateful Dead.” He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Amy, and son, Dalton; his father, Burt Gendron; mother, Leigh Strout, and her husband, Kevin; sisters, Katie Strout Hyde, and her husband, Chris and Brittany Gendron; brother, Derek Gendron; niece, Kyleigh Hyde; grandparents, Marvin and Joanne Kendall and Burt and Theresa Gendron; a special aunt, Sue (Kendall) Canuel, and her husband, Roger; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Patricia Strout.
