WATERVILLE – Joline M. Hamilton, 45, of Jay, died Thursday, Oct. 12, at Maine General Medical Center, following a four-month battle with cancer.

She was born March 1, 1961, in Farmington, a daughter of Philip W. and Joanne E. (Belanger) Hamilton. She was a graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1979, as a top 10 honor student and lived in Jay most of her life.

She was adept at knitting and donated many of her knitted items for the benefit of the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

In addition to her parents of North Jay, she is survived by two sisters, Rita Wellington, and her husband, Joel of North Jay and Karen Barthel, and her husband, Karl, of Dwight, Ontario, Canada.

She was predeceased by her brother, David in 2003; and her maternal grandmother, Emily Belanger in 2000.
