South Paris – Patricia Emery Dyer, 74, of South Paris, formerly of Rockland, died Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.
Pat was born in Thomaston on July 27, 1932. She went to nursing school in New Hampshire and was a registered nurse for nearly 40 years. She was a nurse at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey and Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
She lived in Rockland most of her life. She lived the last part of her life in South Paris. She was an active volunteer in the Oxford Hills area. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 72 in South Paris, where she served as secretary.
She also had been a faithful volunteer at Stephens Memorial Hospital Coffee Shop. She was well-known for being the chauffeur for several friends.
She is survived by her three children, Charlene Proctor of Rockland, Lou Moccia of Warren and Ted Moccia of Norway; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
