LEWISTON – Flossie Thurlow Staples, 92, of Turner, died Oct. 13, at Russell Park Manor.

She was born in Hartford on March 31, 1914, the daughter of Clinton and Flossie (Harrington) Thurlow and was educated in local schools and graduated from Buckfield High School in 1933. She had been a homemaker most of her life and had worked for Prince Farms as an apple packer for many years. She married Aubrey L. “Red” Staples on May 1, 1937. He died December 8, 1988.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Hathaway, and her husband, William, of Turner; one son, Stephen Staples, and his wife, Elaine, of Albion; one sister, Priscilla Thurlow of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Clinton S. Thurlow Jr.
