AUBURN – Michael C. Taber, 57, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 13, at the Hospice House.

He was born April 6, 1949, the son of Edward and Juanita Taber Jr. He was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1967.

Mike served in the Army, where he did a tour of duty in Korea, and after, worked locally as an aviation mechanic and as a machinist. In later years, he worked in the skiing industry and also as a greens keeper.

He loved the outdoors and spent as much time hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and golfing as he could.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia, of Gorham; sister, Nancy, of Auburn; brother, Jeff, of Farmington; and his nephews, Ian, Derek and Graham; he will also be sadly missed by many good friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.
