BETHEL – The wedding of Megan Kathleen Bailey and Michael Joseph Hoy was held at 10 a.m. on July 8 at the West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel. The Rev. Virginia Rickeman officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Hoy is the daughter of Joe and Monique Bailey of Bethel. Mr. Hoy is the son of Leonard and Cathy Hoy of Greenwood.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. Members of the bridal party were friends of the bride, Mary Henley of Andover and Nola Wentworth of Bethel, and cousins of the bride, Danielle Marcous of Raleigh, N.C., and Emily Bailey of Ipswich, Mass. Alecia Littlefield of Bangor, cousin of the bridegorom, was junior bridesmaid.

Ben Hills of Bethel, performed the duties of best man for his friend, and ushers were friends of the couple, Glen Carver of Bethel, brother of the bride, Dusty Bailey of Bethel, and cousin-in-law of the bridegroom, Nick Zegourous of Auburn. Xander Reichenbach, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Town and Country Motor Inn in Shelburne, N.H. After a short honeymoon in New Hampshire and a few days visiting family and friends in the Bethel area, they traveled to their new residence in Florida.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Telstar Regional High School in Bethel and completed her freshman year at the University of Maine at Farmington. She plans to continue her education in Jacksonville, Fla.

The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Telstar Regional High School in Bethel and is currently serving in the U.S. Navy. After graduating from basic training in Illinois and SK schooling in Mississippi, he spent a year in Bahrain. He is currently stationed at Jacksonville Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla.
