MOSCOW (AP) – A 54-year-old Biddeford man was killed Saturday while riding an all-terrain vehicle on a trail in this Somerset County town.

Gerard Allie was riding with four friends at about 11:30 a.m. when he thrown over the handlebars after striking a rock on the trail, according to Maine Warden Service spokesman Mark Latti.

Allie, who was wearing a helmet, landed headfirst on the ground, Latti said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
