BRUNSWICK – Doris Mary Farrell, 85, of Lancaster Road, Richmond, passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on April 16, 1921, in Gardiner, the daughter of Lincoln and Lettie Huntington Williams.
She was a homemaker most of her life, raising eight children. She briefly worked at the Gardiner Shoe Shop.
She was a loving mother, who was always very caring, and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her children, Arlene Staples of Brunswick, Eugene Farrell of Richmond, Linda Duguay of Sabattus, Stephen Farrell of Belmont, N.H., Deborah Hardy of Wells, Cindy Hall of Bowdoinham, and Laurie Farrell of Richmond; a special granddaughter, Tammy Ames of East Waterboro; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
On Aug. 12 of this year, a family reunion was held in her honor. That was such a special day for her.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Arthur Farrell; a daughter, Beverly Morse; her parents; three brothers, Harold, Sherwood and Charles Williams; and her sister, Violet Sheets.
Her family would like to thank the entire ICU staff at Mid Coast Hospital for their kindness and the wonderful care given to her. They made this difficult time for us much easier to accept.
