PORTLAND – Merry A. Morin, 56, of West Poland, died Saturday, Oct. 14, at Maine Medical Center with her family at her side, after a long illness.

She was born in Norway on May 7, 1950, the daughter of Robert E. Foster Jr. and Mae Foster.

She was educated in the Oxford Hills schools.

She married George Morin on July 12, 1980. Together, they had many good times camping, boating, four wheeling, going to truck pulls at local fairs and spending time with their children and grandchildren. She worked at A.C. Lawrence in South Paris as well as Wal-Mart and ICT in Oxford.

In the past, she was a member of the Oxford Firemen’s Auxiliary and a current member of the American Legion Post 72 and the South Paris VFW Post 9787.

She is survived by her loving husband, George, of West Poland; a son, Robert Billings of Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Lisa Palmer; and husband, Bob, of South Paris; a stepson, Alan Morin; stepdaughter, Lisa Morin; and her dog Shadow.

She is also survived by four granddaughters, the greatest love of her life, Brittany Kesseli, Morgan Kesseli, Brooke Billings, and Molly Billings; stepgrandchildren, Brianna Palmer, Everett Perry, and Monique Gosselin; a brother, Glenn Foster, and wife, Mabel; siblings, Teddy, David and Gene Bryant, Lee Cox, and Cynthia Cummings; as well as many brother and sister-in-laws; father-in-law, Bruce Butler; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her mother-in-law, Marie Butler; and her dog, Abby.
