FARMINGTON – Two New Vineyard Road men were arrested last week on drug trafficking charges after an investigation turned up drugs, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
Joshua Allen, 22, and Harley Witherell, 23, both of 654 New Vineyard Road, were arrested around 11:15 p.m last Tuesday, according to a police department news release. Officers from Farmington, the Franklin County sheriff’s department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency served a search warrant at the home during a drug investigation.
Drugs valued at more than $2,000 were seized during the raid, including prescription pills and drying marijuana, officer Ed Hastings said Monday. Also seized were a firearm and drug paraphernalia.
Allen was charged with possession of scheduled drugs, violation of conditions of release and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, class B – a felony. Witherell was also charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.
Both were being held at the Franklin County Jail as of Monday night, Hastings said.
