FARMINGTON – Pitter is a wonderful cat who has been at the Franklin County Animal Shelter for way too long.

Staff said she arrived as one of four kittens along with her mother. All of Pitter’s family was adopted, leaving her behind. She was a little timid of new people, which led to her being here even longer.

Pitter went into foster care because of her shyness and turned into a lovable lap cat that just needed a chance to bloom into purr-fection. Pitter loves to lay on the lap of anyone willing and she will purr and love all attention thrown her way.

Pitter had to be returned to the shelter because her foster family was moving out of state.

Due to the fact that Pitter has been at the shelter for more than two years, her adoption fee has been lifted so that she can go home as soon as possible.

New dogs at the shelter include a male pitbull mix from Jay.
