BRUNSWICK – Lindsay McNamara led a group of four players to register goals as Bowdoin posted a 4-0 victory over Rhodes in collegiate field hockey action Tuesday.

Gail Winning, Burgess Lepage and Sarah Horn also tallied for the Polar Bears (10-1) to complete the scoring. Hillary Hoffman and McNamara were also credited with assists. Kate Leonard and Emiliegh Mercer combined for two saves in net to record the shutout.

Meghan Cullen turned aside 24 shots in net for the Lynx (8-5). Bowdoin held a 2-0 advantage at the half.

NEC 4, Colby 2

WATERVILLE – New England College scored three goals in the opening 7:11 of the second half to pull away for a 4-2 victory over Colby in non-conference field hockey action Tuesday. Amanda Lester tallied with 1:29 left in the first half to give NEC (14-2) a 1-0 lead at intermission. Brittney Vogrin made it 2-0 at 3:52 of the second half and Lori Zaniboni got the eventual game-winning goal 1:54 later.

Lester finished up the scoring for the Pilgrims with 27:49 remaining. Mary Clare Snediker scored off a penalty kick for the Mules with 14:55 remaining and added a penalty stroke with 9:04 left. Jacqui Parker made 13 saves in net for NEC to post the win.

Jamie Enos turned aside 14 shots in net for Colby.

Women’s soccer
St. Joseph’s 4, NEC 0

HENNIKER, NH – Megan Willette and Lauren Hagerman netted two goals apiece as St. Joseph’s rolled to a 4-0 victory over New England College in women’s soccer action Tuesday. The Monks (8-5-0) held a slim 1-0 advantage at the half, then hit high gear in the second frame with three straight tallies. Monica Cuda made five saves in net to preserve the shutout.

Laurie Silva handled netkeeping duties for NEC (7-4-3), turning aside 10 shots.
