CANTON – Eleanor Mae Tripp, 84, of Lewiston, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Victorian Villa Rehabilitation and Living Center.
She was born in Poland, June 25, 1922, the daughter of Rollin A. and Grace W. Cowan Keene.
She attended Casco Schools.
A great cook, she loved to feed and entertain friends and relatives around the kitchen table with coffee and homemade goodies. Visits, especially from her children and grandchildren, made her happy.
She had a green thumb when it came to plants, both inside and out. Her favorites were roses, glads, and sweet peas. Music was an important part of her life.
She attended the Bible Believing Baptist Church of Gray.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia McNally and her friend, Carl Roberts Sr., of Danville, and Doris Babicki and her husband, Tony, of Lewiston; two sons, Ronald G. Tripp and his wife, Rosanna, of New Gloucester, and Gardner E. Tripp Sr. and his wife, Sharon, of South Paris; and 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gardner Tripp; several brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Chris McNally.
We, Eleanor’s family, would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Victorian Villa for the wonderful, loving care they displayed to our mother during her stay there.
