SOUTH PORTLAND – The 113th session of the Rebekah Assembly IOOF of Maine will be held Thursday and Friday, Oct. 19 and 20, at the Best Western Hotel, 700 Main St.

Patricia Grass of Kennebunk, president of the assembly, will open the session at 9 a.m. Oct. 19. Other elected officers of the assembly taking part are Helen Witham of Oakland, vice president; Helen Boisvert of Baileyville, warden; Hazel Diffin of South Portland, secretary; and Elaine Barry, treasurer, as well as the president’s board of appointed officers.

Lucille Nelson of Auburn, past president of the assembly and representative to the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies, will make a report of its session held in Winston-Salem, N.C. Past noble grands of Rebekah lodges throughout the state are eligible to attend the assembly.

Past district deputy presidents, covering 13 districts throughout the state, will meet on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Among the many charitable projects of Rebekah Oddfellowship, the president stressed her projects for cancer awareness and community outreach with “Coats for Kids” and “Hat and Mitten Tree for Kids.”
