LEWISTON – Randall J. Smith has been promoted to assistant vice president in the loan operations department at TD Banknorth Inc. in Lewiston. As a loan operations accounting manager, he will continue to oversee the preparation of all loan systems reconciliations, participate in all loan systems conversions due to acquisitions or upgrades, and provide support to the finance group and business analysts for all related activities.

Smith joined TD Banknorth in 1995 and has 30 years of banking experience. He previously has served as a loan operations accounting supervisor, treasurer, controller, financial analyst and operations manager.

A Greene resident, Smith is a 1975 graduate of SUNY at Fulton-Montgomery in New York. An Amsterdam, N.Y., native, he is a 1971 graduate of Bishop Scully High School.
