MANCHESTER, N.H. – Claudette (Dupont) Brodie, 93, of Manchester, died Oct. 18, in Villa Crest Healthcare Facility.
She was born June 1, 1913, in Auburn, the daughter of Phillip and Dianna (Sirois) Dupont.
Following High School she came to Manchester at an early age and ran the Millinery Department at Leavitt’s on Elm Street.
She and her husband then opened the dress shop Brodie’s Incorporated in West Hartford, CT. She retired in 1962 as a retail buyer for Macy’s. Her career in the retail industry spanned 46 years.
A resident of Manchester since 1967, Mrs. Brodie had been a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, the Manchester Women’s Club and Elliot Hospital Associates.
She is surivived by her nephew, J. Clark Logan Sr. and his wife, Ann, of Amherst, N.H., two great-nephews, John Logan of Hillsborough, N.H., and Jay Logan Jr. of Southborough, Mass.; and longtime close friends, Ron and Bobbie Boss of Westminister, Calif.
Her husband, James R. Brodie, died in 1993.
