LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday morning for Mr. Robert Labbe at Holy Cross Church, following prayers at the Pinette Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Daniel Greenleaf celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at the interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
At the beginning of Mass, his daughters, Constance Haas and Diane Savard placed the pall on their father’s casket.
Robert’s wife, Jeanne then placed a crucifix on the pall.
The readers during Mass were Jacob LaRoche, Cindy LaRoche and Melissa Wing. The offertory gifts were brought to the alter by Bob’s daughters, Connie Haas and Diane Savard.
At the conclusion of Mass, Jeanne’s granddaughter, Melissa Wing, shared words of remembrance.
Following committal prayers, the United States Army Honor Detail played Taps and presented our country’s flag to Bob’s wife, Jeanne, in honor of her husband’s service to his country during WWII.
Pallbearers were Brian Savard, Roger Paradis, Rick Nadeau, Ronnie LaRoche, Mike LaRoche and Gene LaRoche.
A reception of fellowship was then held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Paradis in Lewiston.
