I was a little disturbed while reading the article “Cash flows like water – Where the money flows,” in the Sun Journal on Oct. 11

Of the 12 biggest donors to the Maine Democratic Party, ten were from out of state and only two were from Maine. Of the 14 biggest donors to the Maine Republican Party, 12 were from Maine and only two from out of state.

It reminded me of the 2004 elections, where the majority of the people campaigning from house to house for John Kerry were from Massachusetts. We do not need outsiders to come to Maine, buy our votes, try to impose their special interests on us, and then hightail it out of here.

Maine people know better and deserve better. Next month, while in the voting booth, no matter what your political affiliation is, please remember to make our state a state of the people of Maine, for the people of Maine, and by the people of Maine.
