FARMINGTON – Andrew Mark Robbins, 52, of Farmington, died unexpectedly, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1954, in Blue Hill, the second son of the late Rev. Ellsbroy F. “Bud” and Anita M. (Carlson) Robbins.
He graduated from Turners Falls High School in Massachusetts with the Class of 1972.
He moved back to Maine in 1973, and married his best friend, Debra A. Fletcher, on June 22, 1974.
A devoted and loving husband and father, he enjoyed God’s creation, hunting, fishing, hiking, and kayaking. He also enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent lobstering on Jericho Bay.
He was co-owner of Maine Wood Turning in New Vineyard with his brothers-in-law, Douglas, Gary and Jody Fletcher. He was also an active member of the Open Bible Baptist Church in New Vineyard. He will be sadly missed by all who knew his gentle ways.
He is survived by his wife, Debra of Farmington; four daughters, Leah Marie Robbins, Jenny Lynn Robbins and adopted daughters Miranda Elizabeth DeWitt and Allison Hope Burnham, all of Farmington; a brother, Erik F. Robbins of Deer Isle, and his children, Nikki and Lance; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
