FARMINGTON – Dan Woodward, deacon, will deliver the sermon, “Your Words Have Been Heard,” at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct. 22. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m., and Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m.

Acupuncture

FARMINGTON – Sandy River Acupuncture is hosting a community acupuncture session at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 193 Front St. Suite 2. Community acupuncture is a seated treatment style in which participants receive treatment for a donation of $20. Persons under age 18 must have a parent or guardian present.

Seniors meet

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 9 with 31 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.

Mary Groleau led in singing “God Bless America” and “America” in observance of Columbus Day. The sick list included Emile Richards, Peggy McDonald, Lorraine Ellingwood, Walter Ellingwood and James Williams. Shirley Couture read amusing articles.

The 50-50 was won by Dora Slovak. Cards and games were played after the meeting.

Crafters needed

STRONG – Crafters are wanted for a craft fair being held on Saturday, Nov. 11, sponsored by the eighth-grade class at the Strong School. Proceeds will be used to fund their end-of-the-year class trip to Boston and Portland in June.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Strong School, 110 North Main St. Crafters wanting to participate should call the school at 684-3521 to reserve a table.

There is no designated cost for the table space; however, crafters are requested to make a monetary donation of their choice.
