SABATTUS – James C. Edwards Jr., 79, of Sabattus, died at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on July 2, 1927, in Poland, the son of James Sr. and Gladys (Stevenson) Edwards.
He was a graduate of Edward Little High School. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked for many years as a top machinist at Bates Mill. He also drove for City Cab. James was a member of the Odd Fellows.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosalie Edwards, of Sabattus; sons, Jeffrey L. of Sabattus and James C. Edwards III of Oregon; sisters, Marge Benway of Auburn and Nancy Edwards of Auburn; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Priscilla McCleary.
